Clutter wins R&D Awards Citation for “Radical Rebanking”

McLain Clutter, Taubman College assistant professor and director of the design and research practice Master of None, was recently awarded an R&D Awards Citiation for “Radical Railbanking”, his project is aimed towards transforming Detroit’s abandon railway spaces into areas where various demographics can interact, play, and live. With the use of geographic information systems (GIS) and the incorporation of community statistics on race, ethnicity, and consumer taste, Radical Railbanking is designed to prompt speculation and reevaluation on the Detroit’s desolate areas, with the chief goal of fostering communal environments for disparate communities.
