Taubman College Ray and McEwen Exhibit at the 2016 Istanbul Design Biennial “Are We Human?”
Professor of Practice in Architecture Mary-Ann Ray and Assistant Professor of Architecture Mitch McEwen will each be exhibiting work at the 3rd Istanbul Design Biennial. The month-long event titled Are We Human? The Design of the Species: 2 seconds, 2 days, 2 years, 200 years, 200,000 years is curated by Beatriz Colomina and Mark Wigley and opens on October 22, 2016. Revolving around the central provocation that design needs to redesigned, the Biennial is organized into four groups: Designing the Body, Designing the Planet, Designing Life, and Designing Time. Ray (Principal of Studio Works) will be exhibition her work Potable Person, and McEwen will be exhibiting Glitter Disaster.
