Jazairy, Miller, and Moran Honored at ACSA Architectural Education Awards

Assistant Professors of Architecture El Hadi Jazairy, Meredith Miller, and Thom Moran, were recognized by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) in their 2016–2017 Architectural Education Awards. Jazairy was awarded in the Faculty Design category for “Pacific Aquarium,” a project in collaboration with MIT professor Rania Ghosn. “Pacific Aquarium” is an environmental manifesto and installation of aquariums that “take aim at the abysmal distance between our selfish economic worries and the great scales of the Earth.” Miller and Moran’s project “Post Rock” was awarded honorable mention in the Faculty Design category. Inspired by the combination of waste, plastics, and rock, “Post Rock” experiments with materials and fabrication to imagine new possibilities for sustainable construction.
