T+E+A+M and Design Earth Awarded “Best of Design” Awards by Architect’s Newspaper

Architect’s Newspaper has announced their 2017 AN Best of Design Awards award recipients, including two practices founded by Taubman College faculty; T+E+A+M and Design Earth.

Architect’s Newspaper honored T+E+A+M as the winner in the Best Temporary Installation for the Living Picture stage set designed for this year’s Ragdale Ring Competition. T+E+A+M is a design practice led by Taubman College Assistant Professors Thom Moran, Ellie Abrons, Adam Fure, and Meredith Miller. The stage project is a half-year long installation that hosts several outdoor theatre and musical performances. Living Picture is a contemporary interpretation of the original historic 1912 Ragdale Garden theatre. More about Living Picture can be found here.

Design Earth, a collaborative practice led by Assistant Professor El Hadi Jazairy and Rania Ghosn, was given honorable mention in the Representation category for their research and depiction Trash Peaks. This project was shown at the 2017 Seoul Biennale for Architecture and Urbanism.
