Why was Taubman College worth the cost?
Taubman College exposed me to the systems thinking needed to tackle large-scale urban problems. The core classes were helpful in application towards more focused elective coursework, and the curriculum was flexible and interdisciplinary. Exposure to these concepts and real-world applications was critical for me to be well-equipped to tackle current societal problems in a community-centric approach.

What resources did you use to pay for your MURP degree?
A mix of scholarships, loans, and student jobs (both summer internships and on-campus work opportunities).

What advice would you give prospective MURP students about paying for grad school?
Get creative and look for opportunities where you can learn or hone your skills while still getting stipends toward your graduate education. Many students I know worked or were judiciously applying for university scholarships during their time here. While I was unable to make the time to be a Graduate Student Instructor (GSI), I worked as a University grader alongside internships to offset some of my graduate school costs.

What do you like most about Taubman College?
The diversity in student backgrounds that the college brings in. I met students from all walks of life, degree programs, ages, and professional experiences in Taubman, with our only commonality being a fascination in the built environment.
