Professor Levine gives keynote address at COST conference on accessibility instruments

Professor of Urban Planning Jonathan Levine will give a keynote address at the conference "Accessibility Instruments for Planning Practice in Europe" in Turin, Italy, February 16 and 17, 2012. His address is titled "From Mobility to Accessibility Planning: The Role of Evaluation Tools." The conference aims to address accessibility concepts that are increasingly acknowledged as fundamental to understand the functioning of cities and urban regions. In particular, accessibility instruments are able to provide a framework for understanding the reciprocal relationships between land use and mobility.

The conference is held by COST, an intergovernmental framework for European Cooperation in Science and Technology, allowing the coordination of nationally funded research on a European level.
