Design FOR//HUMANS Reception

LAST SEMESTER_
Last semester students got together & established a group interested in humanitarian design. They completed a design competition called PLAY FOR ALL, submitting two entries for a playground design for refugee children in Mae Sot, Thailand. The work will be deplayed at a reception THIS FRIDAY, JANUARY 14th 6:30PM in the West Review Space.

Here is the design FOR//HUMANS approach: THINK, HEAR, ACT on both global and local levels by

  1. International Design Competition working on revisioning longterm development of Haiti
  2. Conversation Series featuring speakers in humanitarian design work
  3. Monthly community activism in Ann Arbor & Detroit
