Mark Rosentraub (Bruce and Joan Bickner Endowed Professor of Sport Management, School of Kinesiology) has been closely involved with the proposal for the new arena and will describe the project, its expected impact on Detroit, and the reasons it will have this impact.  David Bieri and Margi Dewar (both faculty in Urban and Regional Planning, Taubman College) and Judith Grant Long (faculty in Sport Management, Kinesiology) will briefly lay out the strengths and the shortcomings they see from their varied perspectives.  Light supper provided.
