Urban Planning Chair Jonathan Levine presents at Planning for/with the People and Cities and Climate Change conferences

Urban and Regional Planning Program Professor and Chair Jonathan Levine presented a paper entitled “Urban Transportation and Social Equity: Three Transportation-Planning Paradigms that Impede Policy Reform” at the conference Planning for/with People: Looking Back for the Future. The conference was held in Haifa, Israel in June. Also in June, Levine presented at a World Bank-sponsored conference in Marseille, France entitled Cities and Climate Change: Responding to an Urgent Agenda. His paper reported on his work with Joe Grengs: “Metropolitan Accessibility and Transportation Sustainability: Comparative Indicators for Policy Reform.” He lectured on the same topic at Instituto Superior Tecnico in Lisbon, Portugal in July.
