Associate Professor Amy Kulper named Steelcase Research Professor, Journal of Architectural Education editorial board member

Amy Kulper, architecture associate professor, was awarded the position of 2010-2011 Steelcase Research Professor at UM’s Institute for the Humanities. The Institute for the Humanities awarded fellowships to eight faculty and six graduate students to support research projects they will pursue during 2010-11.

Kulper’s research will consider the role of the scientific laboratory in shaping the experimental legacy of the discipline of architecture. She has authored and presented numerous papers, including “Experimental Divide: The Laboratory as Analog for Architectural Production.”

She is also a newly appointed member of the editorial board of the Journal of Architectural Education and will serve as an editor until 2012.
