Within the framework of the eight subtopic sessions: Networks, Policy and Environment, Logistics and Freight, Accessibility, Security, Information and Communication Technologies, and Commuting, Migration and Labour Markets, the conference will foster an environment of international discourse between European and North American transportation researchers of information and communication within the industry. NECTAR chose to host the conference in Ann Arbor for its proximity to The Motor City, the home of North America’s most pivotal automobile innovations. Emil Lorch Collegiate Professor Jonathan Levine is the organizer for this year's NECTAR Conference along with NECTAR chair Karst Geurs.
