A tube structure includes an interior, an exterior, and a middle space. This project focuses on utilizing the middle space in the visually created implied tubes. These implied tubes are a network of openings that projects throughout the building of the two occupant families. When seeing through these connected openings, the residents visually own the interior of these implied tubes and sense other occupants’ movement surrounding these connected frames, defined as the middle space. The system of frames allows occupants to interact with one another discursively by blurring the distinction between the interior and exterior of their living space and questions the contradiction between porosity and privacy in space.
