What is special or excites you about the Taubman community?
Taubman College sits at the frontier of tomorrow’s architecture. The research done at Taubman is mind-blowing, and the amazing part is that this top-level research is open for students to observe.

If applicable, tell us about studio culture – what is inspiring or innovative or unique?
The unique aspect of our studio culture is the drive that we all have. It’s an uplifting culture that makes everyone feel proud of their work and themselves.

Describe your experience with faculty and professional staff during your time at Taubman?
The faculty are some of the most dedicated I have ever experienced. Professors go above and beyond teaching, not just architecture but also about life. The Taubman faculty is filled with pure passion.

How has Taubman’s career and professional development support prepared you for a successful career in your chosen field?
The Taubman career and professional development support gave me the confidence to go for competitive job postings. The department really made me feel prepared for the professional world.

What benefits have you experienced being part of the University of Michigan?
Whenever I wear Michigan attire at airports, I get “Go Blue!” from random strangers, giving me a sense of pride about where I am going to school. The biggest benefit of being a part of the community is the sense of camaraderie that is present among all students and alumni.

What do you like most about being part of the Ann Arbor community?
Ann Arbor is an amazing city with so much life. The pedestrian-friendly urban masterplan makes you instantly feel like you are at home.

What advice would you give prospective students as they consider Taubman College?
Discover what you love. And ask yourself, “if you could design your life, what would it look like?” And get after it.

What are your plans after graduation?
My plan is to start my own architecture firm that acts as a developer. This firm will mix fintech with architecture researching building technology.

Additional advice or thoughts you’d like to share with prospective students?
Try to think about your college experience holistically. Try new things and try things that scare you.
