ARCH 258 – Translation
Description
This studio module will explore the ways in which core design ideas can migrate back and forth between two-dimensional designs and three-dimensional space. Every change in mode will be exploited to take advantage of the new representational medium. Rather than simple faithful documentations, each translation will take advantage of its new “language” in order to advance design ideas. Though intended primarily for students considering a design-related career, it is open to students from any discipline wishing to improve their visual literacy.
