Spring Break Connections Externship Program: Information Meeting

November 8, 2011 at 11:40 am

Spring Break Externship:If you are interested in learning more about the program, please mark your calendar to come to one of these meetings.

A little bit about the Spring Break Connections Externship Program:
Taubman College sponsors a one-week unpaid program for the week of spring break, Monday February 27 – Friday, March 2, 2012 for students interested in learning more about the practice of architecture, urban design, or urban planning. It is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in your specific field to give you a deeper understanding of what your chosen career holds for you. This program is unpaid, there is no course credit awarded, and you are responsible for all your travel and living expenses.

Last year, 137 students [1 urban design, 26 planning, and 110 architecture] learned about their intended profession in 133 organizations and firms across the United States.

At the meeting you will learn much more about how the program works, eligibility requirements to participate, the process and timeline to apply, etc. After the meetings, I will email a link to the application form for the program. The deadline for applying will be Monday, November 28, 2011. An up-to-date resume will also be due with your application on that date.

If you participated in the program last year, you are still encouraged to come to one of these meetings.

If you have any questions, please email Beth Berenter (berenter@umich.edu)
