Peter von Bülow Speaks at University of Innsbruck

Peter von Bülow, Associate Professor of Architecture, gave a lecture entitled “ParaGen: a performance-based form exploration method,” at the Institute of Structure and Design (KOGE unit), University of Innsbruck, Austria, on January 18, 2014.

His talk was part of the symposium, “Form-Rule|Rule-Form 2014: self-organizing forms and processes.” The lecture focused on the development of a genetic algorithm to guide parametric form generation and its storage in a database, where it becomes a visual mapping tool for solution search. The symposium presented the ideas of researchers from different disciplines on self-organization as a methodology for and in architecture.
