Planning Student and Munger Fellow Serratos in Rackham’s Student Spotlight
Taubman graduate student Gustavo Serrano discusses advocacy for graduate student involvement on campus in a Rackham Graduate School “Student Spotlight” feature. Gustavo, a MUP student concentrating in transportation planning, was awarded a Junior Coleman-Munger Fellowship at the recently opened Munger Graduate Residences. He said, “I received the Munger Coleman Fellowship that helped with my housing costs and this semester received the Rackham Non-Traditional Student Fellowship. The Rackham fellowship was really great and helped partially relieve the financial stresses that many of my graduate peers have experienced.” In addition, as a Munger Fellow, he is the liaison between the College and the Munger Graduate Residences, tasked with being the voice of Taubman College in interdisciplinary resident activities. “Graduate school has been a great experience. I’m so happy I got to study Urban Planning at U-M,” he said, “I’ve met so may awesome people and had the chance to do so many great things.”
