This course offers an advanced introduction to crucial issues about the law of planning, property rights, land use, and access to housing. Deploying American property and land use law as a starting point, legal materials from western and non-western countries provide the comparative angle. Readings from feminist and postcolonial theory as well as critical legal and race studies compliment the cases from planning law and practice.
Note: This course is pre-approved as a MUD Directed Elective in the Policy, Law, and Institutions category.
