Sirota to Collaborate with Flint Public Art Project, Explore Future Uses of Space

Assistant Professor of Architecture Anya Sirota, along with cofounder at Anya Sirota + AKOAKI design studio, Jean Louis Farges,  will be working in collaboration with the Flint Public Art Project and Metawanenee Hills Neighborhood Association to propose programming for the Cook School. The currently closed Cook School is located at the north end of Grand Traverse Street in Flint. Sirota and Farges draw inspiration from the work of Amanda Browder, a Brooklyn-based installation artist, on a number of temporary projects aimed at exploring possible future uses of space.

The Flint Public Art Project strives to reimagine the city of Flint, inspiring collaborations between residents, businesses and institutions to revitalize places through art and design.  Metawanenee Hills Neighborhood Association is an active and engaged neighborhood group in the city of Flint.
