I chose Taubman College to prove that a first-generation Mexican woman has something to represent if I were to be chosen in return. In a world where there is little to no representation of us in architecture, Taubman College stood as my choice for pursuing a genuine education that cares about including excluded voices in the spaces of its field.
The array of diverse talent at Taubman College that I’ve witnessed in the two years I’ve spent here has been a treasured experience for me. I have valued learning from the unique ideologies of its distinguished faculty and students that have transformed my visual literacy.
