Value of a University of Michigan Degree

Earning a graduate certificate from Taubman College is an investment in your future.

Certificate Information

Current students already pursuing a U-M graduate degree

Students pursuing a graduate certificate with a U-M graduate degree will be embedding their graduate certificate courses within their credits each semester.  Students enrolling in 9 or more credit hours will pay the same block tuition rate.

Double-counting credits
Students in a master’s program may double count up to one-sixth of their master’s credits but not more than one-half of the certificate program credits, provided they are courses from the approved certificate curriculum. Certificate students should consult advisors in their home units to confirm courses they wish to be double-counted. Please review Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development Double Counting Rules and Guidelines (PDF).

Standalone Certificate

Those not enrolled in a U-M graduate program will complete the full 17-credit curriculum and will pay by the credit.
