Beige, Grey, Green, and Rude: Anna Neimark & Andrew Atwood February 3 AT 6:00 PM
Mon 3

Art & Architecture Building Auditorium, Room 2104

The recent work of First Office includes several houses just completed and under construction. They all share a dull color palette of beige, grey, and green, as well as a common lineage of rude forms. These low contrast houses originate from earlier works, including Mountain House, Dolmen Works, and Duchamp’s Shotgun, each providing common details for the pitches of roof, the distribution of cores, and the rhythm of doors. In this talk, we will share the construction progress on our recent houses as well as revisit the projects that have defined the basic vocabulary for our practice at large.
