We are excited to kick off the RPI 2025 Speaker Series with Dr. Ted Jojola, Director of the Indigenous Design and Planning Institute at the University of New Mexico, under the theme Indigenous Technology. Dr. Jojola’s talk will delve into the P.L.A.C.E.S. toolkit—an innovative framework designed to facilitate strategic visioning within place-based communities. The toolkit integrates key elements such as population, land tenure, asset mapping, community engagement, empowerment, and storytelling, offering a systematic approach to fostering meaningful collaboration and empowerment.
