Joseph Vig is an adjunct practice instructor in urban and regional planning at Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. With over twenty years of experience in real estate development and construction across both public and private sectors, he has built a distinguished career. He began as a real estate associate broker at Colliers International, focusing on commercial and industrial properties. Since 1997, he has been CEO at J.S. Vig Construction. Under his leadership, the company has successfully partnered in developing a diverse range of projects, including office buildings, industrial facilities, commercial spaces, multi-family units, and land developments, and achieved a sales volume of $90 million in 2023. Among its notable clients/projects are the University of Michigan (Schembechler Hall, the Football Performance Campus, and the Postma Family Golf Clubhouse), Sartorius AG Center of Excellence, and the Hyatt Place Hotel and Conference Center. He is also a proud alumnus of Michigan Ross, holding a degree in Business Administration.
