Professor Robert Marans awarded 2012 Career Award by Environmental Design Research Association
Professor Emeritus of architecture and urban planning and research professor at the Institute for Social Research Robert Marans was chosen as a recipient of the 2012 Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA) Career Award by the EDRA Board of Directors. Marans will receive the award at the 43rd annual EDRA Conference in Seattle, Washington, June 2, 2012. The EDRA Career Award is given in recognition of a career of sustained and significant contributions to environmental design research, practice, or teaching.
The EDRA is an international, interdisciplinary organization founded in 1968 by design professionals, social scientists, students, educators, and facility managers. The purpose of EDRA is the advancement and dissemination of environmental design research, thereby improving understanding of the interrelationships between people, their built and natural surroundings, and helping to create environments responsive to human needs.
