Lecturer Etienne Turpin and Professor Meredith Miller’s INUNDATION Jakarta Studio in Jakarta Post

Following their six week spring research studio INUNDATION Bangkok/Jakarta, which included a three week Joint Design Research Workshop with the Universitas Indonesia, Hong Kong University, and Ruangrupa Jakarta, the “Jakarta: Design for Hypercomplexity” collaboration held a public exhibition and presentation of their research at the Universitas Indonesia on Thursday, June 14, 2012. Collaborative student research teams from Taubman College, UI, and HKU presented design proposals for six sites in Jakarta, including Kota, Menteng, Ancol, Tanjung Priok, Warakas, and Glodok. Their proposals are now available online, and will be featured in the largest Bahasa Indonesian daily newspaper, Kompas, over the next week. The studio also received positive coverage following faculty and student interviews with many Indonesian daily newspapers, including the English-language Jakarta Post, included below.
