Assistant Professor Anya Sirota and students exhibit work in New York
“My Love for You Burns All the Time,” an exhibition of work by Assistant Professor of Architecture Anya Serota with AKOAKI, a research and design practice that included Taubman College students Lauren Bebry, Bruce Findling, and Allen Gillers, opened at the Soloway Gallery in Williamsburg, New York, on August 10, 2012. The work transforms Detroit’s Packard Plant into a series of silver-plated fragments of a monument in miniature and is a commentary on contemporary fascination with representations of decay and the value of neglected sites in the collective optic. The exhibition is open by appointment through August 30.
