Goodspeed to receive Schön Award for Excellence in Learning from Practice

Assistant Professor Robert Goodspeed will receive the Donald Schön Award for Excellence in Learning from Practice from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP). This honor recognizes excellence in a chosen planning paper that demonstrates learning through practice and professional engagement, and comes as a result of Goodspeed’s 2013 MIT dissertation, “Planning support systems for spatial planning through social learning”. The award comes with a $1000 grant courtesy of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and waived full student conference registration. Goodspeed’s award will be announced at the ACSP conference in Philadelphia, October 30-November 2, 2014. A list of previous winners can be found on the ACSP website.
