The design of housing can have a profound impact, but the issue of land availability (where to put said housing), has proven to be an insurmountable barrier. In the article, “Demapping Automative Landscapes, Housing Affordability as a Land Game,” Marc Norman highlights innovations in reclaiming space for much needed housing and highlights innovative examples of promoting affordability and efficient use of urban space in the U.S. and abroad.
