Michigan Design Sessions

Michigan Design Sessions is a suite of nondegree and pathway programs at Taubman College, bringing together initiatives designed to broaden access and strengthen connections to design education. Rooted in southeast Michigan, these programs help participants see design as a way of engaging with the world, from the scale of everyday objects to the organization of cities. Michigan Design Sessions cultivates future designers and educators through rigorous, hands-on learning in the context of a leading research university, while giving Taubman College graduate students a meaningful apprenticeship in teaching and pedagogy. 

Together, these programs serve a broad range of participants at the national and international level, from high school students to adults considering the study of architecture, urban planning, urban technology, and urban design, united by an intellectually vibrant approach to design education.
