“The University of Michigan is a closely knitted community. I have worked in different countries, and wherever I go, I see active alumni activities.”

Why did you choose Taubman College?

Friends told me about Michigan’s excellent quality of architecture education when I was choosing a college.

Describe the work that you do.

I moved my career from architecture to real estate development in 2005, and I enjoy being able to implement good design from paper to realization as a real estate developer. The big project I recently completed is the first holistic wellness retreat in Suzhou, China, and I am currently working to build a healing concept coworking brand called Wonangari in Seoul.

How did Taubman College prepare you for your career?

Taubman College opened my eyes to see what good design is and how a thought process needs to be. I learned that a good design is not just about design but about balancing all other factors to be practical and beautiful.

What is an important lesson that has stayed with you from your time at Taubman College?

Even if I encounter a difficult question, Taubman College taught me how to think it through to find my own solution. It also taught me that there can be many different solutions.
