Why did you choose Taubman College?
I chose Taubman College for its academic excellence and creativity in urban design, not to forget the fantastic faculty support! I was also awarded a decent scholarship that greatly helped me financially. In addition, Taubman also has ample fellowships and GSI positions to further supplement professional experiences! It has been my pleasure to be a part of this community.
Describe the work that you do.
I work as an urban designer at Sasaki. In a highly interdisciplinary setting, I work collaboratively with senior urban designers, planners, landscape designers, sustainability directors, and design principals on different projects like master planning, civic design, international city design, etc.!
What are some of the projects that you have worked on recently?
I was/am working on the following projects:
7 Dry Ports, Afghanistan
Thu Duc City Masterplan, Vietnam
Goucher College Campus Planning, Baltimore
Inglewood Oil Field Redevelopment, LA
How did Taubman College prepare you for your career?
I chose my courses and independent studies very carefully at Taubman; those selections and professors have exponentially increased my abilities as a designer.
What is an important lesson that has stayed with you from your time at Taubman College?
Urban design holds a lot of power that needs to be harnessed to reveal critical momentum of the current world.
What did you like best about attending Taubman College?
