UT 401, Section 1

This course is premised on the idea that jobs are things you have, but careers are things you make. Entering the professional world, you will need to have a strong and growing understanding of yourself and the things that motivate you. In this course we will develop a clear personal perspective on the change you want to see in the world and explore the types of teams and professional environments where you might apply yourself 1, 2, or 10 years after graduation. You will meet professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds as examples of people who have crafted their own career; the ways in which they work in and between public and private sectors; and how they have navigated uncertainty.
