Mathias Rollot’s work belongs to the field of ecological humanities, historically focusing on doctrines of habitability, the theory and history of bioregionalism, alternative practices in architecture, and architectural ethics and epistemology. Today, he works with animalist philosophies, decolonial thinkings, and feminist perspectives, in order to contribute to emancipating, pluriversal, subversive and non-anthropocentric metamorphosis of architecture.
The Binda Lecture Series honors Guido Binda (B.Arch.’31), who practiced architecture in Western Michigan for seven decades. Guido, with his wife Elizabeth, created this fund to provide for an exhibit program and annual lecture by visiting professionals.
