Neil Brenner is a leading critical urban theorist whose work bridges sociology, geography, design, and environmental studies. Known for developing the concept of planetary urbanization, his research challenges conventional definitions of the city and explores the global dynamics of urbanization, infrastructure, and ecological crisis.
The Binda Lecture Series honors Guido Binda (B.Arch.’31), who practiced architecture in Western Michigan for seven decades. Guido, with his wife Elizabeth, created this fund to provide for an exhibit program and annual lecture by visiting professionals.
