Hack 4 Social Good December 7 AT 9:00 AM
Sat 7

Bob and Betty Beyster Building

Hack 4 Social Good is a civic technology-oriented hackathon focusing on the theme of “Alternative Internet Access.” As civic services increasingly transition to digital platforms, those without access face heightened risks related to public health, education, and disaster response. By exploring this theme, we aim to foster an inclusive environment that amplifies the voices of underrepresented groups in Public Interest Technology (PIT). This theme invites a diverse range of perspectives, encouraging participants from all educational backgrounds to engage in hacking solutions that address the critical issue of internet connectivity. Sub-tracks will include “Access, Digital Divide, and Digital Literacy,” “Crisis and Disaster Response,” “Education Innovation,” and “Open Source and Creative Commons.”
