Barbara Barton, author of Manoomin: The Story of Wild Rice in Michigan (Michigan State University Press, 2018) will lecture on endangered species in Michigan and their relation to Anishinaabek culture and communities today. She will also share ricing tools used in the harvest and processing of wild rice. All are welcome.
