Alumnus John Scott-Railton (M.S. ’09) is featured in the December issue of Harper’s Magazine, answering several questions about Cambodia’s political situation and the effects of globalization on the country. Question topics ranged from the impact of the genocide trials to the role of NGOs. Scott-Railton’s interest in Cambodia was further developed during his time at the University of Michigan, when he traveled to Phnom Penh as part of a mapping project. Scott-Railton is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of California – Los Angeles.
