Lecturer Heidi Beebe wins 2011 AIA Merit Award for her project “2 Story 4 Square” in Boise, Idaho

Architecture Lecturer Heidi Beebe received a 2011 AIA Built Merit Award from the AIA Chapter of Portland, Oregon for “2 Story 4 Square,” a residential addition located in the North End Historic District in Boise, Idaho. The project was selected for its taut skin, play of solid and void, and thoughtful alignment to the original 1910 foursquare. The jury included Lisa Iwamoto of IWAMOTOSCOTT, Merrill Elam of Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects, and Vanessa Kassabian of Snohetta NY. Beebe is cofounder, with Doug Skidmore, of Beebe Skidmore Architects located in Pontiac, MI and Portland, OR.
