Lecturer Teman Evans’ design firm, DIOSCURI, profiled for innovation in design by Black Enterprise Magazine

Taubman College Lecturer Teman Evans was one of five designers featured in Black Enterprise Magazine (BE) Next Series on up-and-coming young professionals to watch who are innovating in their field to create a competitive business edge. Evans discussed his New York-based practice and how young architects can leverage their diverse skill set to make strides in the field of design.

Teman and his twin brother Teran Evans discovered a passion for design after attending the University of Florida’s Design Exploration Program (DEP). They founded DIOSCURI by incorporating the skill of design to start a small line of silk scarves, high-quality woven fabrics, and eventually, wooden bracelets.

DISCOURI has progressed into a brand-consulting firm for major names in the design industry such as David Rockwell, and television networks such as HGTV. According to them, diversification is necessary to survive in the design industry. They created a distinguished company by incorporating an architect’s innovative reasoning with the field of design.
