Thün lectures on Responsive Envelopes at Dalhousie University

Associate Professor Geoffrey Thün will give a lecture entitled ‘On Responsive Envelopes’ as part of Dalhousie University’s School of Architecture and Planning’s 2014 Winter Lecture Series, in Halifax, Nova Scotia on March 17, 2014. The talk situates a history of architectural tectonics engaged with and responsive to environmental conditions and human interactions. Within this framework, Thün locates recent creative practice undertaken with Assistant Professor Kathy Velikov including the Stratus Project, Resonant Chamber, PneuSystems and the North House Project as a means to expand current debates regarding sensate environments, adaptive architecture and intelligent systems.
