Taubman College Strickland Editing Upcoming Journal Issue Regarding Urban Design Education
Roy Strickland, Professor of Architecture, will edit an issue of the Journal of Urban Planning and Design, Institution of Civil Engineers, Britain, regarding urban design education. The issue is planned for publication in 2016. The issue will provide an international survey of urban design pedagogy, including design, history and theory. Abstracts from around the world have been received. Accepted articles will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Strickland’s co-editor is Bruce Race from the University of Houston. Strickland served as founding director of Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning’s Master of Urban Design Program from 2001 to 2012.
