Knoblauch Invited to Present Research at “Staging Canada at Expo67”
Assistant Professor of Architecture Joy Knoblauch will present at the London conference, “Staging Canada at Expo67: Nationalism in the Crucible of Globalization.” The conference and symposium celebrates the 50th anniversary of the 1967 world’s fair and presents the latest research on 1960s Canada, the 1967 Expo, and the social and political movements in Montreal and Quebec.
Knoblauch will present a paper, “Design Beyond Understanding: Expo67 and the New Brutalism” on Friday November 3rd. The presentation is included in the World Exhibitions and Urban Effect session of the four day long symposium. Event highlights and full program can be found here.
