Norman and Wilkins Serve on Advisory Committee for NYC Hip-Hop Architecture Exhibition

Lecturer Craig Wilkins and Marc Norman, an associate professor of practice in urban and regional planning, are serving on the advisory committee for Close to the Edge: The Birth of Hip-Hop Architecture, a new exhibition at the Center for Architecture in New York City. In addition to his service on the committee, Wilkins’ work will be exhibited in the exhibition. The show investigates how architectural spaces have contained and expressed the creative energy of hip-hop music and culture over the past 25 years, beginning with Wilkins’ 1992 proposal for a ‘Hip-Hop Park’ in Chicago. The exhibit is open through January 12.
