Taubman College faculty member Richard Norton has been awarded a Top Reviewer Award by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP) for his work as a peer reviewer in their Journal of Planning Education and Research. Norton, professor of urban and regional planning and a member of the journal’s editorial board, was one of four reviewers selected for their contributions this year.
ACSP is an organization of over 100 university departments and programs that offer degrees in urban planning-related subjects with the goal of advancing knowledge in education and research. The Journal of Planning Education and Research is the official peer-reviewed publication of ACSP and presents research by professors and planning professionals that advances the field of urban planning. The Top Reviewer Award is awarded by ACSP to peer-reviewers based on the quality and quantity of their reviews, which the organization says “are vital to maintaining the academic integrity and rigor of the journal.”
Norton received the award at the 2024 annual ACSP conference in Seattle earlier this month.
