Five Taubman Students Named 2025 Dow Sustainability Fellows

Five Taubman College students were selected for the 2025 cohort of the Dow Sustainability Fellows Program. Saj McBurrows M.U.R.P. ’25, Saloni Kapoor M.U.R.P. ’26, Camille Johnson M.U.R.P ’26, Qingru Yang, M.Arch ’25, and Cayla Ellis, M.Arch ’26 are five of 32 University of Michigan graduate students who will receive Dow’s support to foster sustainability leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Dow’s support provides essential funding and meaningful engagement opportunities for student participants. Through site visits to Dow headquarters and mentorship from Dow professionals, Dow Fellows connect with the company’s extensive network, receiving valuable career development and practical insights into real-world sustainability challenges.

Admittance to the program involved a competitive nomination and application process to attract top student talent from across the university. All fellows receive a $25,000 stipend as well as additional funding for their projects, professional development opportunities, and opportunities to collaborate with external partners.

“This year’s cohort brings together an extremely talented and diverse group of students who reflect the values and goals of the program,” said Bridget Gruber, Dow Sustainability Fellows Program manager. “We look forward to the important work they will undertake in the coming year.”

The 2025 fellows will be able to work on projects with Sidewalk Detroit, Hope Village Revitalization, and Michigan’s Office of Rural Prosperity, as well as other partners.
