Agoraphorum

Vanessa Lekaj
Peter Halquist
In film, an agoraphobic is typically depicted as a window watcher that fears unpredictable settings and situations. Drawing from the phenomenon of “blind” windows within Ann Arbor and Detroit, Agoraphorum uses fenestration to create a faux film set of the urban contexts that are depicted in film.Deconstructing the typology of a movie theater into a micro-urbanism affords the agoraphobic flaneur the experience of wandering through an urban setting at a more controllable scale.
