This project reimagines Detroit’s Jefferson Station Post Office as a hub for connectivity and urban renewal. Positioned between emerging riverfront neighborhoods and disinvested housing, the site reflects a stark urban divide and lack of shared public space. In response, the intervention transforms the post office’s enclosed nature with a bold, elevated public platform. A green, park-like structure rises above the building, creating a continuous civic space that encourages movement, interaction, and activity.
