This report evaluates the potential for expanding Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Grand Rapids along the Alpine (Route 9) and Plainfield (Route 11) corridors. Using land-use analysis, ridership data, and STOPS modeling, the study compares current conditions with future service improvement scenarios. Results show that Route 9 has the strongest potential for a BRT upgrade, with higher existing ridership and greater projected ridership growth. The report also highlights how future land-use patterns may influence transit demand and provides recommendations for future planning and investment.
