Why did you choose Taubman College as the right program for you?
I was always interested in Taubman’s dynamic approach towards architectural education. There are so many different perspectives here that are cultivated, that there’s always something new to learn. The quality of work coming out of the program made me want to become a part of it.

What is special or excites you about the Taubman community?
The community here is incredibly diverse, with people coming from all sorts of backgrounds, both in architecture and beyond. There’s also incredible support on behalf of the faculty who push for exploration and experimentation.

If applicable, tell us about studio culture – what is inspiring or innovative or unique?
Taubman’s studio culture is really very wholesome, and everyone is as supportive as they are dedicated. Coming back in person and experiencing this all again really goes to show how much of a difference this makes.

Describe your experience with faculty and professional staff during your time at Taubman?
The staff at Taubman have been nothing short of helpful and dedicated. My experiences have been positive, with my studio professors doing everything they can to provide support. The college’s staff members are equally as supportive, constantly making sure we get as rich of an education as possible.

How has Taubman’s career and professional development support prepared you for a successful career in your chosen field?
The Career and Professional Development support is great here! They regularly host workshops and also provide networking opportunities. As someone not from the US, they also helped calm my anxieties about how the job market works here.

What benefits have you experienced being part of the University of Michigan?
From attending symposiums, talks, or even events, utilizing the University’s many resources has proven to be extremely valuable.

What do you like most about being part of the Ann Arbor community?
The Dynamism! Ann Arbor’s community is so diverse, with people coming from all over the world, myself included. This makes it so that there’s always something new and exciting happening around town.

What advice would you give prospective students as they consider Taubman College?
Attend the information sessions that the college offers and come in for a visit!

What are your plans after graduation?
I plan on working in the field and returning to academia for a Master’s in Urban Planning/Urban Design.
